Obstacles- Natalie
OBSTACLES - in Natalies opinion (maybe everyone does not feel the same)
So, I had to once again deal with mice! They decided my motorhome was nicer then their field and tried to live here. We heard the mouse one night and I was like ‘Adam, we need to get it NOW!’ However, night one was not successful as we were not sure where it was located, but on night two was game over. Here Adam and I were crawling on our hands and knees going “I hear it over here!” but then “No it’s over here now!” We pulled out a bunch of drawers and seat covers and found a couple areas where it had been frequenting. I made Adam go get our traps. The leftovers ones that did not work on the SUV mouse, but we brought on this trip anyways. Midnight, we set our trap line, and then we wait… 20 min later, BOOM! Mouse down… “Adam … you need to deal with that please. That’s a blue collared job!”
Lets hope that the trap line does not get any more action.
Today we realized that our motorhome has a leak. Insert sad face here. However, I am always greatful for my amazingly handy and capable husband. We hit up a hardware store, got the sealant, and once we parked at the latest Harvest Host destination he went to work on fixing our problem. Now, I am probably over worrying, but I have him pretty much resealing the WHOLE roof and any other seals I can see.
The Big Bang Theory. Well, just to clarify, I am talking about the TV series. We have a TV in the motorhome, so before leaving on our trip we went thru our family’s DVD collection and brought along a few movies and this TV series incase we needed some time-wasters for rainy days. So, here we are over three weeks in and the kids want to watch this series. Sure, Adam and I thought that it seemed like a pretty harmless show, but our minds played tricks on us about how innocent it was. 2 shows in and the sexual innuendos and references are endless. The kids are asking so many questions. Wyatt can’t handle the awkward moments. I realize they really don’t understand much of the sexual references. Wyatt likes Walowitz and his Van shoes and joked about to grow his hair out to look like him. So funny! And now they are talking to each other with comments and phrases from the show…. ‘You’re acting just like Sheldon’… So the obstical is, should we continue watching this show? The kids and I think its funny, for different reasons of course. Or should we shelter the kids sexual lives for a little bit longer???? Maybe not the best teaching material?
Lastly, I think I am in decorating withdrawl. I did not realize how much I love decorating my house for the seasons and celebrations that come throughout the year. Yes, I know I'm my mother’s child. This little type of creativity fills my bucket, and I am missing that joy. The motorhome is very small on space so it is hard to decorate, and on the flip side, I dont like too much clutter. The fact that the motorhome is never not filled with too much stuff, is also a frustration!
However I went out and bought lights from Costco for Christmas, as Halloween has been a wash. The kids are not interested in doing Halloween/dressing up for candy, which surprised me. I am getting festive, whether anyone likes it or not.
