Goodbye Mexico, We Will Be Back.💛🌵

Image
We finished out our days at Los Barilles with morning shore fishing, which filled Gibson’s bucket, as he got a new rod for Christmas, and some biking, which made Wyatt happy. With everyones having some time to do things they liked, everyone was in good spirits. We filled the tanks and water, ready to be self sufficient for a few beach days at El Pescadero, mainly Los Cerritos beach. Los Cerritos is worth all the hype. It has epic surf set in an awesome setting!Perfect for boogie boarding and surfing alike. The only sad part was that it was SO busy. So busy that you did have the fear of getting hit with someone elses board, which did happen to me. The day we spent there was sensational. It was full of sun, lots of sand, in every place imaginable, and we were happily tired from battling the waves. Would have loved to do more days there, but with how tired and sunned out we were, we decided that we would move on. We explored Todos Santos for a day and got to...

Favourite Baja Spots- Wyatt

Image
Three of the best spots I have stayed at in the Baja were Los Barriles, La Paz, and Campo Rene.  My first favourite stop we made was in Los Barriles.  At Los Barriles, Mom rented a boat and a guide for the day and we went fishing.  We caught two dorado.  Dad’s dorado, we had to fight a sea lion for it.  In the end we got it from the sea lion, but it was quite  the hassle because every time he let go of it, we would reel in as hard as we could but the sea lion would easily get it back in his grasp again.  (Which was quite annoying).  The town of Los Barriles, which was the biggest town we have been in so far, was maybe half the size of Summerland.  It had a big market that we went to, which had lots of things like wood art, paintings, clothing, etc.  When we were at the market lots of other towns folk were coming in to shop on quads and razors.  Every day we went to the beach for at least two or three hours.  At the beach t...

Amazing Places in the Baja Mexico by Gibson

Image
We went to the Baja this last month and there is some pretty cool places I would like to talk about.  Firstly, I would like to talk about a place called Campo Rene because there were many fun things to do. It had good fishing. We met some people, their names are Todd and Louise. Todd gave us a lure called the Rippin Minow and we had good luck. We caught corvina, flounder, rockfish, and bass. Some of the fish we caught we let go beacuse they were too small to keep.  One time we got up early to fish, I didn’t catch a fish that morning, but I caught a stingray. I thought it was weeds at first or a flounder, but then I saw its tail and I knew it was a stingray. We let it go. It was cool to see a stingray. Can I tell you something about a stingray? They sting over their heads. In Campo Rene it has really good beach combing. We went beach combing mostly every day and we found lots of oyster bags on the beach, so we collected them beacuse there is an oyster farm close by. We al...
